Yaara (Friend) is an Indian Hindi language crime drama film directed by T. Dhulia. It is an official remake of the French film, “A Gang Story (2011)”
The film is about 130 minutes long. Yaara is the story of four friends, their rise and fall together as Chaukadi gang.

Cast:
Vidyut Jammwal as Phagun
Shruti Haasan as Sukanya
Amit Sadh as Mitwa
Vijay Varma as Rizwan
Kenny Basumatory as Bahadur
Plot:

The movie is about four friends- who initially didn’t know each other but destiny brought them together and they became best of friends. The starting part of the film is where we get to know how they all met, under what circumstances they were raised and how they get their name and many more. This movie showcases their journey from being none to well know “Chaukadi gang”(exact spelling may differ).
The movie revolves around Mitwa, Amit Sadh. After Breathe: Into the Shadows , another masterclass act by him. He is the key to the plot. After 20 years, The life of Bahadur, Phagun and Rizwan, turns upside down when police catches Mitwa. The rest of the movie is what the three friends does to protect Mitwa and how they react to the consequences to follow.
My verdict:

All the four main characters have outstandingly played their part. And Bahadur, from my native state, has been excellent. The music and Background score is not the best, I would say but average. The Screenplay and Direction is where this movie excels. The action scenes seems very realistic. Another brilliant thing done by the director is tieing the threads, you will feel all the connections of whats happening, in the climax. There are lot of fire powers, like old guns, revolvers, have been used and its very important for the storyline.
Story of Friendship, Story of Betrayal, Story of Regret and what not, Everything is depicted properly taking into consideration of all the sentiments. A must watch movie if you want to see Friendship, Romance, Thrill, Action with an average background score. Their dressing will take you back to late 90s and that is well picturised. I must admit that the involvement of Sukanya doesn’t really fit into the story, but she played her role with sincerity.
Chaukadi gang proved the #BondofYaara
I would give 7.5/10.
